Dana Selznick, M.Ed
Deaf Education Specialist and Coordinator of the Family Resource Center at the Center for Hearing and Communication (CHC).
In her dual role, Dana is dedicated to helping children with a hearing loss and is often the first point of contact for parents upon receiving their diagnosis. Dana provides information and guidance, so that parents can make informed decisions about their child’s hearing health care. She facilitates peer support through educational and social events that bring families together throughout the year. As a teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, Dana provides direct enrichment or remediation to school age children depending on the academic needs of each individual child. Dana received an undergraduate degree in Deaf and Hard of Hearing Education at the University of North Florida and her M.A. and M.Ed. in Deaf and Hard of Hearing Education and Elementary Education at Columbia University. In addition to her role at CHC, Dana co-founded CampedUP in 2013, a summer day camp program for childrenwho are Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
