Dr. Maria Hartman is currently a fulltime Lecturer in Applied Sciences of Learning and Special Education: Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program; Teachers College, Columbia University. Hartman is also the Coordinator of Student Teaching Practicum for Applied Sciences of Learning and Special Education: Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program; Teachers College, Columbia University.
Maria Hartman received her bacholers from Fordham University in Arts, History, and Religious Studies. She went on to earn her Master of Arts in Deaf Education, Teachers College, Columbia University then her Ph.D. in Deaf Education, Teachers College, Columbia University. She is a member of the Alexander Graham Bell Association (AG Bell), Council on Education for the Deaf (CED), Council for Exceptional Children (CEC), American College Educators – Deaf and Hard of Hearing (ACE-DHH), and American Education Research Association (AERA).
