Project Rationale: The Itinerant Mainstream Support Program at SSS currently serves over 200 students in more than 60 school districts in northern, central and southern New Jersey. Students depend on hearing aids, B.A.H.A.s and/or cochlear implants as well as personal DM systems in order to have access to information in the classroom. Itinerant Teachers of the Deaf are responsible for troubleshooting this equipment in the event of malfunction. This program will enable SSS to purchase troubleshooting equipment in order to maintain and effectively troubleshoot students’ personal amplification systems in a timely manner.
