About the Program: With the growth of telepractice and remote learning for students, it is becoming increasingly necessary to find effective ways to fully evaluate listening and spoken language skills as well as assess and support the auditory needs of students with hearing loss in virtual settings.
This short course will give professionals an overview of assessment tools, strategies, and resources needed to identify and support the auditory needs of students with hearing loss through remote platforms. The course will also describe methods of conducting informal, standardized and criterion-referenced tests through a digital platform. *Clinicians with prior knowledge and experience conducting evaluations in-person will gain insight and ideas on how to use both new and old tools in telehealth.
