SMART (Social Mentoring & Advocacy Resource Training)

What better way to spend a Sunday than meeting new friends and having fun while exploring Grand Central Station.
Come join The Children’s Hearing Institute’s to kick of the SMART (Social Mentoring & Advocacy Resource Training) program on Sunday, October 29th from 11 am -2:30.
The day will start with a meet and greet brunch at The Wheeltapper Restaurant where you will meet other teens with hearing loss. From there, you will head over to Grand Central Station and embark on an exciting group event –the amazing Scavenger Hunt run by Watson Adventures.
CHI’s SMART Program will host a series of workshops that bring together teens with hearing loss from multiple programs in the area. These workshops will provide exciting, structured events/tasks to help develop specific skill sets for self-advocacy, socialization skills, leadership & teamwork skills, and ultimately, encouragement in becoming a more active participant in the community.
